Feel free to post ads about virtually anything and everything. We currently list over 160 categories and sub-categories.

ADS NOT POSTED IMMEDIATELY:

This is a moderated site. All new and edited ads and photos are viewed by the administrator prior to being made visible. We attempt to process all submitted ads within twelve (12) hours of submission and usually much faster. However, we ask that you allow at least twenty-four (24) hours before you send inquiries.

HOW TO KEEP YOUR AD FROM BEING DELETED:

We recommend that buyers only deal with local sellers that they can contact and meet personally. The more local contact information you can list in your ad the more confidence you will inspire in the buyer and Ayuh. In addition to listing your county, be sure to list your specific location. A local phone number is also big asset and be sure to list a contact name. There are a lot of scams on the web and Ayuh is not immune, in fact we delete scam ads daily, ban the IP address of scammers as well as listing them. If we feel that the ad may be foreign, or there is no proper phone, contact name, location, etc., etc. the ad may not be posted and/or subsequently deleted. We encourage buyers to contact us should they feel that any ad is not legitimate. We will delete first (to protect our users) and ask questions later.

PRIVACY MAIL IS MODERATED

Privacy Mail is the default means that all email is sent through this site. Our Privacy Mail is moderated so we can (1) detect spam, (2) screen scam emails, (3) often warn the recipient(s) of the scam, list the scammer's email address and (4) permanently ban spammers and scammers IP address so that they cannot come back.

Ayuh! is maintained as a wholesome family environment (child-safe).

WE DO NOT ALLOW:

1. Pornographic ads or links to pornographic sites: pornography is defined by Ayuh! to be sexually explicit pictures, writing, or other material whose primary purpose is to cause sexual arousal.

2. Nudity (including links to photography and art sites): women must be wearing a top and bottom (not see through). Men must be wearing clothing on the bottom.

3. Escort services or site links, even if your intent is to just have escorts for social occasions. Dating services are allowed as long as they are kept clean.

4. Adult toy ads or site links: adult toys are any toys that are designed to be used in a sexual act.

5. Sale of adult materials, such as magazines, books, or just about any other item of adult nature.

6. Photos, ads, or links to sites that contain or depict immoral, lewd and lascivious behavior of any kind. This includes homosexual related photos, ads and site links.

7. Ad text that contains immoral, lewd and lascivious or foul language at any time. Nor do we allow links or references to sites that do.

PHOTOS

You may upload up to three images per ad. All images must smaller than 250 KB or you will not be able to upload them. We recommend that you submit all photos or images in the .jpeg or .jpg format so that the program can make thumbnail images for you listings on the fly. Images in .gif or other image file formats will not work. Links to images on other classified ad sites are not permitted.

250 KB is actually a relatively large image for the web. It is quite easily acheived even with large files from high end multi-megapixel digital cameras by using image editing software like Adobe Photoshop, etc. If you do not have an image editor you can do it online with Web Photo Resizer at http://webresizer.com/.

Submitted ad text must not be more than 1000 characters to be accepted by the site (also see # 7 above).

SEARCH FEATURES

We are very pleased to all some unique search features geared to Maine. For example, when looking for a job, most people will not want to travel a long distance daily to drive to work. The ad search feature allows you to search for jobs (or anything else) within a specific Maine County, Massachusetts or New Hampshire.

PRIVACY

Your email address and phone number are never revealed unless you place them in your ad description. Ayuh! uses "privacy email" that allows a user to email you from the Ayuh! site with never posting or revealing your email address to any user or spambots. When you receive email inquiries, you can decide if you want to respond to that individual or not.

LOCAL ADS ONLY

This free classifieds site was created for the residents of Maine and our immediate neighbors only. We do not allow ads that to pertain to items for sale, services, opportunities, announcements or relationships that are in, pertain to, or involve areas outside of our local area (ME, NH, MA).

The items that indicate that your ad is from a local source are:

1.) A valid local phone number is included in the ad.

2.) A valid local street address is included in the ad.

3.) The ad is submitted via a local IP address

AD DURATION

Ayuh! currently allows ads to be posted for 90 days. You may return to edit or delete your ads at any time during that period, using the ad ID# and the password that you supplied when you created the ad. Edited ads must go through the administrator approval process again prior to becoming visible.

LINKS

Links or URLs to competitive sites such as other classified ad sites, auction sites, job sites, etcetera, are not permitted.

Failure to follow the rules of this site will most likely result in being blocked from future access.
